How to Apply to the PhD and Masters program Application Process Candidates must complete the application, write a personal statement reviewing their experiences in survey research, and submit three letters of reference. The GRE examination is required for application to the masters program. Applicants are expected to hold a baccalaureate degree with at least a "B" average. Prerequisites apply to each area of concentration. Applications are due January 15, for admission in Fall. To access the online application form visit: http://www.vprgs.umd.edu/ Financial Assistance Through collaboration with agencies in the Federal Statistical System the Joint Program expects to place some students in paid part-time research assistant positions in Federal agencies and in area survey research firms.
