Jenna Fulton holds a BS from Saint Joseph's University and an MS from Columbia University. She entered the PhD program after working as a polling analyst at ABC News and has completed internships at the Statistical Research Division of the Census Bureau and Statistical and Science Policy at the Office of Management and Budget. Her research interests include the statistical use of administrative records, record linkage, and informed consent.

Rachel Horwitz is in her second year of the Joint Program in Survey Methodology PhD program. She holds a B.A. in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a M.S. through JPSM. She has worked at the US Census Bureau for the past six years in various positions, but is currently involved in ACS Data Collection Methods.

Michael Jacobsen received his BS in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2001. He received his MS in Animal Science from Michigan State University in 2007. Timothy Kennel is currently a student in the PhD program. His recent research curiosities have focused on frame construction, the analysis of categorical data, the use of administrative records to improve surveys, prediction theory for finite populations, sampling, adaptive survey designs, neural networks, and random trees.
Susan Kenney McCulloch received her MA in Survey Research from the University of Connecticut in 2001. Now working as a Senior Research Associate for the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion, she was previously employed at Columbia University's Social Indicators Survey Center. She is currently a student in the PhD program and her area of concentration is Social Science with research interests in the use of interviewer observations (paradata) to reduce measurement and nonresponse errors.
Taylor Lewis is a third-year PhD student whose central research interests include compensating for missing data and applications of adaptive survey design. He holds a bachelor's degree in Statistics from Virginia Tech and was awarded the Survey Methodology master's degree from JPSM in May 2009. Taylor also works full-time as a mathematical statistician for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
Aaron Maitland
Alena Maze received her BS in Pure Mathematics from Bowie State University in 2008. She received her MS in Mathematics and Statistics from Georgetown University in 2011. She is currently working on her PhD in Survey Methodology.
Cameron McPhee received her BA in Feminist Cultural Studies and Sociology from Swarthmore College in 1999. She currently works as a research analystand statistician at the American Institutes for Research. She is currentlyworking on her MS in Survey Methodology at the University of Maryland,College Park. Her area of concentration is Social Science.
Rebecca Medway is in her second year of the PhD program. She holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Georgetown University and a master's degree in Survey Methodology from the Joint Program in Survey Methodology. Before starting the PhD program, she worked at Fors Marsh Group, a private survey research firm in Arlington, Virginia. She has also held internships at the Census Bureau and the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Her research interests include the use of incentives in survey research and their potential impact on data quality.
Andrew Mercer received his BA in Political Science from Carleton College in 2000. He received his MS in Survey Methodology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2012. He is currently working on his PhD in Survey Methodology at the University of Maryland, College Park. His area of concentration is Social Science.
Kimberly Middleton holds a BSN from Howard University and an MPH from Columbia University. She currently works at the NIH Clinical Center as database manager and associate investigator on clinical research specializing in health behavior, methodology and measurement in vulnerable populations. Prior to NIH, she worked at the CDC/National Center for Health Statistics focusing on establishment based surveys related to pediatric emergency department preparedness and ambulatory care.
Amy Ormson received her BA in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro in 1992. She received her MS in Statistics from Arizona State University in 1999. She is currently working on her PhD in Survey Methodology at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her area of concentration is Statistics.
Krista Park
Brad Parsell hold's a bachelor's and master's degree in political science from the University of Cincinnati. Currently he is a Survey Specialist with the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago where he manages large-scale data collection for energy-related and health-related studies. He is currently most interested in measurement error stemming from questionnaire design effects, mode of administration effects, and interviewer effects.
David Piccone
Benjamin Reist received his BA in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Vermont in 2003. He received his MS in Mathematics from the University of Vermont in 2005. He also received a MS from the George Washington University in 2011. He is currently working on his PhD in Survey Methodology at the University of Maryland, College Park. Martha Stapleton is a PhD student on the social science track. She holds a Master's in Sociology from George Washington University and is co-director of Westat's Instrument Design, Evaluation and Analysis Services. Her research interests include questionnaire design and pretesting, and sources of measurement response and nonresponse error.

Hanyu Sun is in her second year of the PhD program. She holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Nanjing University in China and a master's degree in Survey Methodology from the Program in Survey Methodology at the University of Michigan. Her research interests are the interviewer-respondent relationship and mode effects on reporting of sensitive information.

Reanne Townsend holds a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Sociology from Colorado State University. She is currently a full-time Master's student in the JPSM Social Science track, and has an assistantship in the Survey Methods unit at Westat. Her developing interests include Cognitive Aspects of Survey Methodology and new technologies in data collection.
Sarah Vetting received her BA in Graphic Design from Michigan State University in 2004. She received her MA in Quantitative Methods for Social Science from Columbia University in 2012. She is currently working on her PhD in Survey Methodology.
Alexander Winstead received his Bachelor's degree in Economics from SUNY Binghamton in 2004. He is currently employed as a survey statistician at the U.S. Census Bureau, where he works on sample redesign for a number of demographic surveys. He entered the JPSM M.S. program in Fall 2011, and his area of concentration is statistical science.
Laura Wronski received her BA in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University in 2009. She is currently working on her MS in Survey Methodology at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her area of concentration is Social Science.
Cong Ye holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Renmin University of China and a master's degree in survey methodology from the University of Maryland. As a student of the JPSM PhD Program, he is interested in studying nonresponse and measurement error.
Suzanna Yourishin earned her bachelor's of science degree at Stetson University in 2001. She worked for a consulting firm conducting research for higher education and non-profits for nearly a decade, and has recently accepted a position on the Sampling Department at Arbitron. Suzanna's main interests are within questionnaire design and cognitive aspects of studying populations. She will be studying the social science emphasis of the Survey Methodology Master's program.
